Lee Sims - There's a Small Hotel

Lee Sims (1898-1966) was a very popular pianist/composer in the 1920's and 30's. He made about 60 sides between 1926 and 1936 and was big on the radio. He later concentrated on teaching. His compositions were complex and interesting. Art Tatum acknowledged his influence on him. Not well thought of by the current piano pundits but I like him. This side was recorded in 1936.
