RIAD DAR TIMTAM was built in 1876 by Mr Ali Mesfioui the justice minister of his majesty the sultan (king) Moulay Hassan I.
In 1938, it was sold by the Mesfioui's heirs to Mr Haj Boubker Bentaiebi nicknamed TIMTAM, one of the grandsons of a Saraghina caid and also one of Marrakech notables businesmen. The later has renovated it, sculpted it, and decorated it, thanks to many Maalems of different skills who have transformed it into a dwelling with typically prodigious Arabian Moorish style.
As a result, it has been a privileged place to welcome his guests until his death on the 1st of May 1977.
Today, Timtam’s family has a passion to keep the spirit of the house alive and opened it to visitors, newly converted to a guest house in with 3 royal suites and authentic Moroccan restaurant.
As guest here, you feel enchanted by the life style of Marrakech city.
