Hotel Royal (on the corner of St. Phillip and Rue Royale) is where we stayed on our recent
get-away to New Orleans. It was built in 1827 as a Creole Townhouse. You enter into a
center courtyard and then climb up lots of stairs to your room ,48 to ours to be exact…whew.
But, hey, that’s okay….I dearly love these old authentic places in The Quarter…besides don’t
they say stair climbing is good for you, so I’d definitely do it again in a heart beat!
Note: "It hadn’t rained….they wash the streets every Tuesday."
"Hope you all have a great week ahead with some pretty weather to enjoy!"
